We are a network of all types of community food initiatives, with everything from free food schemes to allotments, community cafes and social supermarkets; all community food initiatives are welcome. Whether you’re a food producer, supplier or grower with surplus, all community groups and initiatives can become part of the Cogog food network and reap the benefits it offers.
What is Cogog?
Cogog is a Partnership of multi-agency, cross sector bodies, working collaboratively across Denbighshire to deliver food related projects, bringing a range of valued expertise to support the development of initiatives.
The name Cogog is unique, as it is made up of Coginio (Cook) and Gogledd (North). We wanted a name that could fit a food partnership in Wales if it were to grow beyond the boundaries of Denbighshire, and possibly become a regional partnership for North Wales over time.
There are Cogog food initiatives spread across Denbighshire, ranging from community fridges to cafes, orchards to allotments, and re-fill shops to bakeries.
You can find your local food initiative through our directory on Dewis Cymru
